Capstar is an oral tablet for cats and kittens four weeks of age and older and two pounds of body weight or greater. It begins working in 30 minutes after treatment, killing over 90% of fleas within six hours for cats. Capstar has no labeled side effects, and can be used along with other flea-control products and medications commonly dispensed by veterinarians, including heartworm preventives, deworming products, shampoos, and antibiotics.
